Multicare Terms & Conditions
Effective 25th February 2020
Contents
Overview
The term customer means any person, firm, company, unincorporated association, or other body at whose request or on whose behalf the company undertakes to provide services.
Company Undertaking
Multicare shall use all reasonable endeavours to supply the best possible service using its resources, talents, and facilities to the best effect within any agreed time or budget constraints.
Customer Acknowledgment
Requesting the services of Multicare is deemed acceptance of the conditions set out in this document.
Liabilities
Multicare shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the supply of its services caused by force majeure, dispute, fire, accident, civil commotion, government action, default or failure of subcontractors or suppliers, or any other cause beyond its control. Multicare shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense suffered by the customer or any third party arising directly or indirectly from such matters.
Multicare shall not be liable for any consequential loss incurred by the customer. Any other liability of Multicare (if any) shall be limited to the amount of Multicare charges to the customer in respect of the matter in question.
Customer Material
Any recordings, soundtracks, or other material made available to Multicare by the customer shall be held at the customer’s risk. Multicare shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such material, however caused.
Multicare agrees not to disclose such material to any third party. If Multicare is required to dispose of customer material or media types, Multicare agrees to destroy them appropriately before processing through the WEEE route.
Insurance
The customer shall be responsible for all necessary insurance in respect of any loss, damage, or expense suffered directly or indirectly in relation to the provision or non-provision of Multicare services.
Indemnity
The customer shall indemnify Multicare and keep it indemnified against all costs, claims, damages, demands, and expenses incurred by or made against Multicare by any third party by reason of supply of Multicare services in accordance with customer instructions.
Law and Jurisdiction
These conditions shall be governed and construed according to English law and the parties irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Variation
These conditions shall not be varied, waived, or modified except in writing under the hand of a duly authorised executive of Multicare. Multicare reserves the right to vary these conditions from time to time subject to giving prior written notice to customers.
Repair
All goods requiring repair shall be sent freight prepaid to Multicare Electronics Ltd unless manufacturer agreements are in place. Multicare assumes no risk and shall be subject to no liability for damage or loss resulting from any unit being returned for repair.
Warranty Repairs
Multicare will honour existing manufacturer warranty where Multicare is authorised for warranty repairs. All repairs will be carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and testing procedures.
Fixed Price Repairs
Customers should enclose or send a purchase order up front for repair, clearly stating model, serial number, RMA (Return Merchants Authorisation), and PO numbers to help reduce downtime.
When a repair is not possible under a fixed price, Multicare will provide a free estimate. Declined estimates are subject to a return shipping fee.
Estimated Repairs
Multicare will raise an estimate where manufacturer warranty or fixed price does not apply. Estimates include labour, shipping at the appropriate rate, and required parts.
If Multicare is requested to check estimated parts and the estimate is refused or not accepted in a reasonable time, Multicare reserves the right to recoup associated labour and parts costs.
NFF (No Fault Found)
Where Multicare does not find a fault with a returned unit, a shipping fee is required for return of the unit. Costs vary by unit type and destination.
Damage
Customers must notify Multicare within 24 hours if a unit arrives with physical damage or is not working. The unit must be returned for inspection. Customers are responsible for supplying the correct shipping address; non-deliveries and re-attempts are chargeable.
Exceptions
Multicare reserves the right to make an additional charge or refuse to repair a product where:
- The repair exceeds the replacement value of the unit.
- Parts are no longer available from the manufacturer.
- The product has suffered physical, water, cosmetic damage, or extensive power surge.
- Damage has been caused by previous repair attempts (not Multicare).
- Units have multiple faults where foul play is suspected.
- The customer requests timed deliveries.
- The repair has previously been estimated and declined.
- Some geographical locations incur a shipping fee.
- The unit must be shipped to the manufacturer.
Manufacturer Warranty
Multicare will honour existing warranty where authorised. If warranty repair is not permitted, Multicare will issue either a fixed price repair or an estimate.
Multicare Warranty
Multicare will repair without charge any merchandise proved defective in parts supplied or labour provided by Multicare for estimated repairs and fixed-price repairs.
Warranty period is 365 days from date of return shipment. Goods requiring warranty repair must be sent freight prepaid to Multicare Electronics Ltd. Exceptions apply.
Warranty Exceptions
Some parts and conditions are excluded, including:
- Camera modules (90 days)
- Hard disc drives (90 days)
- Headphones of all types (90 days)
- Repair exceeds replacement value
- Parts no longer available
- Physical, water, cosmetic, or surge damage
- Previous repair damage (not Multicare)
- Multiple-fault units with suspected foul play
- Timed delivery requests
- Units 10 years old or greater
- Products where Multicare is not manufacturer accredited (90 days)
Accounts
Accounts may be opened subject to approval and provision of two trade references and one bank reference. Account facilities are also available for educational institutions and local authorities on receipt of an official order.
Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date unless otherwise agreed. Overdue accounts may incur interest at 7.5% per month. Account balances must not exceed agreed credit limits.
Spare parts supplied and/or fitted remain property of Multicare until paid in full. Multicare may demand full payment of outstanding invoices at any time. Default on payment terms may place accounts on stop and trigger legal action after 15 days, with costs added to the outstanding amount.
Payment
Unless credit arrangements are in place, payment in full is required on invoice issue date. Payments may be made by cash (£ UK Sterling, $ US Dollar, or € Euro), all major credit/debit cards, and BACS by prior arrangement.
Pro-forma invoices require full payment before repaired items are released. All goods supplied and invoiced remain property of Multicare until paid in full. VAT is added where applicable at the current rate on invoice date.
Spare Parts
As parts are ordered specifically to fulfil customer orders, returns are accepted only if faulty. Parts carry a 90-day warranty from purchase date. Faulty parts are returned at customer expense and, where confirmed faulty, replaced with same or suitable equivalent if available. If unavailable, refund is issued less shipping.
If parts are found not faulty, they are returned at customer expense. Multicare does not provide installation technical support and is not responsible for misuse or incorrect fitting damage.
Multicare is not liable for losses/expenses arising from delivery option delays or faulty parts. Once payment is taken and parts ordered, cancellation is not possible.
Prize Draw Rules & Regulations
This free prize draw is open to anyone aged 16 or over. You do not need to purchase any memberships or products to enter.
Prize Draw registration completion is based on the following information being provided: Name, Home Address, Contact Telephone Number (Land Line) and e-mail address. All entries must be posted to BeoWorld, Unit 5a Gate 2, Silver Royd Business Park, Silver Royd Hill, Leeds LS12 4QQ, United Kingdom, and must be received in the calendar month prior to the draw taking place.
The current BeoWorld Prize Draw will take place around December 20th.
All postal entries must be sent by Signed or Recorded Delivery. We cannot and will not guarantee entry into the Prize Draw if the entry is sent by standard mail.
Only one entry per household. Third party registrations will not be accepted.
There will generally be 3 prizes in the draw unless for any reason we manage to secure another item to give away.
The winner will be drawn independently and at random from all valid entries received and will be notified by email within a few working days of the actual draw date.
No alternative prize is available and the prize is not transferable.
For winner details, please check the BeoWorld website. Winner details will be posted within a few working days of the draw taking place.
The winner may be asked to participate in non-paid publicity accompanying or resulting from this draw.
By entering the free prize draw, entrants agree to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in promotional material.
Although emails are sent to all winners' registered email addresses after the draw has taken place, it is still your responsibility to check if you have won as we cannot guarantee delivery of the winning notification email due to individual spam filter settings. You can do this by checking the bottom of the Prizes page on the main BeoWorld website where a full list of winners can be found for the previous month's draw. Prizes must be claimed within three months of the actual draw date. If the prize is not claimed, it will be re-entered into a future draw.
UK Specification
Although we will endeavour to provide new products ordered from Denmark once winners have been announced, we reserve the right to supply items that we may have in stock, which would more than likely be of UK specification. This could include 220v and a 3-pin UK plug. If a conversion is required, this will be down to the winner to purchase. We will support and help where we can.
Warranty
Due to the fact that we will be supplying new products, the warranty will be the same as if you purchased a product from your local dealer. It will come with the full Bang & Olufsen warranty period.
Prize Collection / Delivery
We are happy to ship out any prize free of charge, but of course if you would like to visit BeoWorld at Multicare Electronics then we are more than happy to facilitate this.

Upgrade Membership
You can always upgrade at any time during your Silver membership. However, please be aware that when you decide to upgrade to Gold we have no way of automatically calculating your unexpired time as a Silver member, so you will be charged for a brand new Gold Membership which will run for a full 12 months and your remaining Silver membership will be lost. It is well worth considering carefully the value of registering initially as a Silver Member if you think you may upgrade to Gold after a short period. In all cases though, we thank you for supporting BeoWorld by becoming either.
